About Us

We work out of a shop on Townline Road in Mundelein and run routes across Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. Springs, cables, tracks and openers make up most of a normal week.

A lot of days start with a spring that let go overnight and a car that cannot get out. The vans carry the common torsion and extension sets, cables, rollers and the opener boards that fail most often, so most of those calls are finished in one visit. When we do not have the part on board, you get a date rather than a maybe.

Estimates are free, and you get the cost and the options in writing before anyone touches the door. That covers what we would repair, what we would replace, and what each route costs. Nothing gets added to the bill afterwards. If we open something up and find a second fault, we stop and tell you what it means for the price before carrying on, rather than presenting it to you at the end.

Booked work runs Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Saturday 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Broken springs are the call we get most, so the vans carry common torsion and extension sets along with cables, drums and rollers, which is usually the difference between finishing that day and booking a second visit. Sundays we are closed, though after-hours emergencies still ring through to whoever is on call. How soon we reach you depends on where you are and what the day already looks like, so call and we will give you a real window instead of a guess.

No. Most of what we do is repair, and a door with sound panels and a straight track is usually worth fixing. Replacement earns its keep when panels are rusted through or bent badly enough that the door no longer travels straight, or when the opening itself has shifted. If a part still has life in it we say so, even when replacing it would be the easier sale. You will hear both the repair option and the replacement option with a price on each.

We carry general liability and workers’ compensation insurance. The torque and balance settings we set on your door get written down, which matters to whoever works on it next. Before you sign anything you hear exactly what the warranty covers on parts and on labor, because those two are often different lengths and that is where people tend to get caught out.

Do not force it, and do not attempt anything involving the springs. A torsion spring holds enough stored energy to cause a serious injury, and that stays true whether it looks broken or not. If the door is stuck partway, leave it there, keep people and cars out from under it, and unplug the opener so nobody hits the button. A gap in the spring coil, a cable hanging slack, or a door that lifts crooked all point to something that wants a technician rather than a fix picked up from a video.
